Homework Assist
Homework Assist is offered in period 3 Monday to Thursday for students who want support
and assistance in efficient homework completion. The Homework Assist teacher
works closely with the classroom teacher to ensure all homework expectations
are met.

SAT Preparation
This course assists students in preparing for the SAT test. Students
will receive the requisite math, reading and writing skills, and
develop strategies to assist them in undertaking the different sections
of the test. Students will write practice tests to familiarize themselves
with the format of the test. Please refer to the College
Board's website for scheduled exam dates and additional information.

University Preparation: Calculus
This course offers students a chance to enhance their calculus knowledge with a focus on
subject areas covered in university first year calculus courses. Students
will revisit concepts studied in the Calculus & Vectors 12 MCV4U course and explore some
additional applications of derivatives and limits. In addition, this course
will expand on the MCV4U curriculum and expose students to first year university
topics such as antiderivatives, integrals, curve sketching and polar coordinates.
This course will provide students with an academic advantage and a better
foundation for successfully completing first year university calculus.

Planning for Post-Secondary Studies
A Guide to Planning for Post-Secondary Studies. This course aims
to provide students with the knowledge they need to make practical
informed choices while planning for their post-secondary studies.
Students will be exposed to a wealth of information about university
and college programs and take part in activities to identify their
personal interests and abilities. Students will receive assistance
in formulating an academic plan, and obtain personalized feedback
about their choices.
