Our Staff

Teachers at City Academy are hired for subject expertise, a superlative work ethic and a willingness to work as a team member.

The school supports education research which increasingly reflects the need for teacher training to focus on subject expertise.

Our teachers are subject specialists. Many have Masters Degrees, several are PhDs. Many of our “teacher graduates” have moved on to medicine, law, or business, thus modeling for our students the importance of lifelong learning. Many staff are bilingual and several speak three languages.

All of our teachers are excellent role models for our students. They are smart, knowledgeable, well prepared, current and well rounded. All have the ability to bring into the classroom the everyday relevance of course content.
